The Essay: Thanking My Parents for the Gaokao
As I prepare to take the Gaokao, the most important exam in my life, I feel a deep sense of gratitude toward my parents. They have always been my greatest support and the strongest pillar behind me.
From the moment I started preparing for the Gaokao, my parents have been by my side. They never complained about the long hours I spent studying or the stress that came with it. Instead, they offered encouragement, understanding, and love. Every time I felt tired or discouraged, they reminded me of my goals and helped me regain confidence.
My father has always been a source of strength. He taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Even when I failed an exam, he never gave up on me. He always said, “Failure is just a step closer to success.” His words kept me going.
My mother, on the other hand, was the one who took care of my daily needs. She cooked delicious meals, made sure I had enough rest, and often stayed up late to help me review my notes. Her endless love and patience made all the difference in my journey.
Without their support, I would not have been able to reach this point. They have sacrificed a lot for my education, and I will never forget their efforts. As I face the Gaokao, I want to express my deepest thanks to them. I promise to do my best and make them proud.
